Statues With Spirit

~The Mischievious~
I have to admit, this one creeped me out a bit. She seemed to follow me.

~The Mischievious~
She was behind the trees for the second shot.

Statues With Spirit

~The Responsible One ~
Hatley Castle was built in 1908 by the wealthy Dunsmuir family. We visited Royal Roads University in Victoria yesterday, and this is where these statues are standing. There are four of them. Each has their own personality. The more I photograph statues, the more I love them. Perhaps I've found a new project! I was thinking of turning all of them into black and whites, but they already are mostly black and whites, except for a few spots of green and yellow. I will show the next 3 ladies in the next few days. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Rust & History

I'm drawn to the colours that metal and rust give. This was taken at the CPRail Museum last year. There are some more from this museum I can add at a later time. Macro lens used.

Giddy-up

One last one from the '66 Mustang collection. I like how this one turned out too. In fact, I really like Mustangs!

Up A Tree

I have taken lots of photos looking up at trees but I have never done any post-production on them. I thought I would try to pull out some color and texture on this one. I like how it turned out.

More Mustangs

Notice the reflection of the white GTO in the red one?I really got a kick out of how this turned out.

B/W High Contrast Shots

Posters from years gone by.
Triple-barrelled. I especially like this shot because there is a squashed newspaper stuck to the barrel on the right.

Great Photographers Think Alike...But Differently

So, while on our photo walk last week, Brook and I were admiring the cool Chevy Impala and I had finished my shots and turned around and started clicking pics of the neat building behind us. The angles and colours were cool. Well...as the day went on, we had a chance to look at each other's photos on camera. Lo and Behold...we had the same photo, but in opposite. Kinda cool I think! There's a reason people connect...in a backwards kind of way.

I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing....In Perfect Harmony

This was the front of an old cooler where my friend and I were having lunch one day. It was a rare day last week when we could sit outside and enjoy an awesome meal. I stopped munching to go over and take this photo. She forgave me.
