People Of Chinatown ... And Festive Events

Grampa bought me balloons!!!

They were lined up to gamble!

Burst of colour. POP!!!

A young new performer had the crowd in awe...except the girl in the front row... she was sleepy.

The boy in front was doing some air guitar moves for his friends. They were just past a street performer.

Brook took a beautiful photo of this girl as well. She was so cool to watch. A true artist.

This man was smiling so much I think my cheeks hurt! He emitted joy, with his performances, his instructing and just his presence.

This is the street performer the boys were mimicking. Not exactly sure where he and his drummer girl partner fit in with the Chinese festival....but he was there and fully into it!

And so was she....

Gastown In The Rain

I will be using this as a screen saver.

Was on the prowl for some great backdrops for some photo shoots today. Gastown is seriously the most amazing backdrop in itself. thought this would be a fun place. Let's hope it's still there in a month!!!

Going up?

Some colourful alley art! This alley was really an art gallery in itself. This is just one of the many shots taken there today.

A bit of light pretty colour against the concrete streets. I also liked the moon and stars on the wall.

Spiders.....shiver

This was a teeny tiny spider. I managed to get close enough to see some pattern and the hairs on its translucent legs...And I think it's eating something there.

Waiting for dinner.

My favourite photos today....I think I was actually moved by them.

We all deserve to have someone look us in the eye and listen completely...

And the joy of having the rain wash it all away.

Some People On The Block ...and a Pigeon

here pigeon pigeon pigeon....

Walter White mural.

I liked this because it seemed the paint on his clothes was camouflaging him into the wall.

Do the hokey pokey

He seemed so content.

Flash Fun In Fort Langley

So, I have never been fully comfortable using my Canon Speedlite 430EX II . It's a flash that can be mounted on the camera or used remotely off camera (it reads the on-camera flash and flashes from a distance). I seriously didn't know I could have this much fun with it. I have to thank my friend Brook for his expertise and easy to understand teaching style. I am so now excited to use this tool and I really look forward to my next shoot!  Click on his greyed out name for a look at his recent black and white posts!

You are a fabulous photographer, Brook, and a real good friend...with an "epic mustache" (so my boys say)...so thank you . You rock.

Eerie Forest Creatures

I love looking at the root formations in the woods. These made me think of fingers of the trees, holding onto the forest floor.

More fingers

Is that a face in the middle???

And toes
