Some New Westminster Architecture

This was one of the pillars on one of the buildings in New Westminster on Columbia St. It's great how the city has kept the old world charm when building new modern buildings.

Windows pains (no pun intended)

While on a walk with Brook in New Westminster a few weeks ago, We found that the upkeep of some of the builings was not done. Photographer's paradise!!! I adjusted some contrast and cropped this a bit.
I like how each window has something different going on, kind of like the people in our lives. Some have turmoil, some have calmness. Perhaps I like this because it portrays my feelings right now, today.

An Industrial Day

The good ol' Patullo Bridge.

Brook relaxing on the most amazing looking rusted metal wall.

Sparks were a-flying! He was cutting a metal ring off the floor of this barge.

T
This was a great old church in New West. Looked a bit eerie with the trees. A good B/W candidate as well!

Lonely but not alone...

This man was not alone just prior to this photo being taken. A friend of his was sitting next to him, attempting to wake him up. When he didn't wake up, the friend made sure his jacket was pulled up behind his back and wandered away. Someone else might have just gone through his jacket for a wallet, or drugs...He was taken care of. Do you feel sad or humbled? or both?

A Beautiful West Coast Day - First 2012 Blog Post

Add caption

Brook and I went on another long awaited photo walk today. We started in the Main and 2nd Ave. area in Vancouver, then to Chinatown (again) for lunch at Hon's, then up to the north end of Main St. to Crab Park. Thanks Steve for the suggestion. We ended the day in New Westminster to the waterfront for some evening photos. We had some great coffee and gelato and headed home. As usual, it was a great day!

The Berkshires Hit Steveston

Jonathan and Melissa met me in Steveston to take some photos of them when Melissa was in the early months of her pregnancy. It's a very exciting phase in their new marriage. I could tell they just adore each other and they 'know' each other very well. It made for a really fun day. I really enjoyed the time we spent together. It was so nice out, I stayed in the area and noticed them walking around taking in the scenery, shops, and beautiful winter sunset. Thanks JB and Mel ~ I hope to see you again in the next few months....and you new addition xo.
