Now That's Driftwood Baby!!

Oh how I am loving my wide angle lens. This was taken at Gilbert Beach today while hanging around with Shawna and her doggie Bella. Good dog, good friend, beautiful day! What else is there!

Tilt-shift processing first try....Chinatown

Tilt-shift is a process that makes photos look like they are taken in miniature. Brook showed me a website that gave instructions on how to do this processing in Lightroom 3. It's my first attempt and the detail work isn't quite right but it shows a bit of this cool effect! What do you think? It's so fun! Makes me want to go out and take hundreds of photos from a bird's eye view now!  I will see if I can find more to play with.

Can't Make Me

Jake tried to not have fun with this leaf. But he couldn't control himself. Was a valiant effort...but this shot shows he was giggling. I love how the corner of his smile peeks out from behind the leaf.

The Gardiners

We were worried about the weather today. Forecast called for rain all day. We decided to go for it! It's not often a plan comes together with entire families available. Here is the Gardiner family. We went to Queens Park in New Westminster. I have to say, this is one of my favourite family shoots I've done to date. Each boy had a different personality than the other, but loved each other the same. Thank you Lisa and Todd for the opportunity to photograph your amazing family!

Candies Galore....

Brook and I went for another photo day today in Fort Langley. We entered a candy store named IntoChocolate Specialty Sweets . It was heaven! We asked if we could take photos and the lady was very happy to let us..so we went at it. As Brook was taking photos of fudge and chocolate, I was roaming around taking random shots of yummy stuff. The next few posts will be full of sweets! Enjoy!
