Flash Fun In Fort Langley

So, I have never been fully comfortable using my Canon Speedlite 430EX II . It's a flash that can be mounted on the camera or used remotely off camera (it reads the on-camera flash and flashes from a distance). I seriously didn't know I could have this much fun with it. I have to thank my friend Brook for his expertise and easy to understand teaching style. I am so now excited to use this tool and I really look forward to my next shoot!  Click on his greyed out name for a look at his recent black and white posts!
You are a fabulous photographer, Brook, and a real good friend...with an "epic mustache" (so my boys say) thank you . You rock.

Eerie Forest Creatures

I love looking at the root formations in the woods. These made me think of fingers of the trees, holding onto the forest floor.

More fingers

Is that a face in the middle???

And toes

Sandhill Crane

I like the shapes this beauty was shifting into. It was preening and calmly wandering around.

Having a sip of water

Perhaps a little camera shy. This turned out kinda cute.
